Superintendent Banfield proposes 1% pay reduction; board approves

Superintendent Barb Banfield on Nov. 14 asked the EPIC Charter Schools Board of Education to reduce her compensation for the 2024-25 school year by 1%, aligning her pay with reductions taken by EPIC administration in October. "I would respectfully request a reduction in my compensation, by 1%, which would bring me in alignment with the reduction in compensation that EPIC admin took," Banfield told the board.
A board member moved and a second was recorded. The roll-call vote recorded Miss Berry, Miss Casper, Mister Hammonds, Miss Myers and Mister Beller as voting yes; the motion carried.
Ending: The change was approved during the meeting and will be reflected in the district's payroll and personnel records for FY24-25.
