Conservation Commission approves 2024 annual report for submission to Select Board

The Southborough Conservation Commission reviewed and approved a reformatted version of its 2024 annual report and authorized staff to submit the document to the Select Board prior to the January 17 deadline.

Melissa said the report was largely the same as past years, with minor formatting changes, a reworded description of the commission’s jurisdictional area and a consolidated list of permits at the end. She said she also included a short blurb about the dump activity. Commissioners reviewed the report and offered positive comments; one commissioner noted they had not read the full document but expressed confidence in staff’s work.

Commissioners indicated they did not require a formal roll-call vote at the meeting and asked staff to submit the report to the Select Board. Melissa confirmed the deadline was Jan. 17 and said she would file it.

The commission’s approvals were procedural; no policy changes were recorded in the meeting.
