The Gahanna City Council approved a slate of reappointments and mayoral appointments to city boards and commissions and appointed Harvey McCluskey to a newly created seat on the Parks and Recreation Board.

Council voted to reappoint the following as published on the agenda: Paul Bryson (Board of Zoning and Building Appeals, Seat 5); Karen Wester (Civil Service Commission, Seat 4 and Fair Housing Board, Seat 1); Matt Winger (Landscape Board, Seat 5); Thomas Shepaca (Planning Commission, Seat 3); and Jason Rourke (Property Appeals Board, Seat 5). The roll-call votes for the reappointments were unanimous among members present.

Separately, council approved a motion to appoint Harvey McCluskey to the newly created Seat 7 on the Parks and Recreation Board. Council discussion in support of that appointment noted McCluskey's long residency in the community, prior service on youth sports administration, and participation with the Central Ohio Mountain Bike Organization. The appointment motion carried on a unanimous roll call.

Mayor Chadwin also announced mayoral appointments to several boards: Donato Delberto (reappointment, seat 5, Civil Service Commission), Haina Deepa Patel (Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council, Seat 1), John Hicks (Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council, Seat 2), Sheila Vitale (Fair Housing Board, Seat 3), Jan Ross (Parks and Recreation Board, Seat 5), Ken Shepherd (Parks and Recreation Board, Seat 6) and Michael Greenberg (Planning Commission, Seat 6). The mayor thanked returning members for their continued service.

Council took the votes as published and the council clerk read roll calls for each motion. No contesting votes or recorded abstentions were recorded in the transcript for these appointments and reappointments.
