A staff member for the State Water Resources Control Board outlined how account holders can view and manage manufacturers in the RWTD portal, saying the portal lists manufacturers associated with an account and provides tools to add or edit manufacturer information.
The tutorial identifies practical limits and steps: new manufacturers added to an account must be approved before users can create applications for that manufacturer, and the board’s review typically takes "1 to 2 business days," the staff member said. The video also explains where account holders can manage devices, representatives, addresses, documents and application records tied to a manufacturer.
The guidance walks through adding a manufacturer: click the add manufacturer button, complete all required fields and click save. "Please allow a member of our team 1 to 2 business days to review this request and approve the manufacturer," the staff member, presenter, said. The presenter noted that until that approval is granted, users cannot create applications for that manufacturer.
If a manufacturer already exists in the board’s database, the presenter said account holders should email the board’s support team with a list of manufacturers to add to their account rather than re-adding them manually. The support contact given in the video is wtdevices@waterboards.ca.gov.
The devices tab displays devices associated with a manufacturer and whether each device is registered; viewers are shown a details button to inspect a device’s record. The presenter said adding a device will be covered in a separate video. The representatives tab lists people associated with a manufacturer; to remove a representative’s access the presenter directed account holders to contact support at wtdevices@waterboards.ca.gov with the name of the person whose access should be removed.
The addresses tab allows multiple addresses to be associated with a manufacturer and includes a primary address slider; the presenter said a manufacturer can have only one primary address at a time. The applications tab shows applications tied to the manufacturer, but the presenter said creating and submitting an application will be covered in another video.
The documents tab lists uploaded documents for a manufacturer and includes an add document button for uploads outside of an application. The contacts tab allows users to add additional email recipients for correspondence; the presenter clarified that contacts added here will receive email only and will not gain portal access.
The video closes with a repeat of the support contact for questions about the manufacturer section: wtdevices@waterboards.ca.gov.
