Carroll County commissioners on Jan. 2 said they will place a group of routine and time-sensitive items on the Jan. 7 consent agenda, including contracts needed for the newly formed West Georgia judicial circuit, a resolution to fund a transition of accrued leave to the county's new PTO policy, and county procurement and leasing items.
Stacy Blackman, county staff, presented contract forms to move from the Coweta judicial circuit contracts to agreements for the new West Georgia judicial circuit, which will serve Carroll County and Heard County. The items include the district attorney contract (state-paid, county-reimbursed personnel) and the Georgia Indigent Defense Services agreement for the public defender; both contracts are budgeted for the six-month remainder of the fiscal year. Commissioners agreed to place those two items (agenda items 101 and 102) on the consent agenda.
