Dylan Rumrell, mayor of the City of St. Augustine Beach, said the city’s fireworks show scheduled for the following night will begin at 8:30 p.m. and run roughly 20 to 23 minutes, with Santore Fireworks setting up equipment on the pier.
The program’s logistics, including setup and a spectator shuttle, were described on the mayor’s regular “Monday with the mayor” broadcast. “We’re gonna come out and bring out, all the equipment on the pier and and set it up. We’ll wire all the fireworks today and, get it all hooked up to the firing system and, ready to go for tomorrow night,” Eddie of Santore Fireworks said.
Eddie described how the show will be launched: “The countdown will work, will be counted down and once we press the the firing system and initialize it and fire it, the show fires by a scripted program.” He said the show duration would be “about approximately 20 to 23 minutes somewhere in there.”
Rumrell provided guidance for spectators: the fireworks start at 8:30 p.m.; shuttle service begins at 5:30 p.m. at Anastasia Baptist Church. He cautioned that parking at the St. Augustine Beach pier is limited and recommended arriving early or using alternative lots at the YMCA, Ron Parker Park or nearby designated areas described on the broadcast as “Stand on the Beach.”
No permit details, public-safety directions, road closures or vendor fees were discussed on the recording. No formal council action or vote was taken during the segment.
