Vice Chair Monroe Naylor had asked that the item be tabled and considered by the curriculum and programs subcommittee so the committee could conduct a working session that would allow members to review implications, discuss standards and consider succession planning and other timing concerns. Mister Collins moved to send the item to subcommittee; Vice Chair Naylor seconded. Committee members agreed that the superintendent’s office was continuing work to maintain standards and that a subcommittee review would be the appropriate next step.
The roll call recorded unanimous support to send the matter to subcommittee; members did not vote on substantive graduation policy changes at the meeting.
