The Ashwaubenon Village Board voted Dec. 17 to rezone parcel VA‑838 (1375 West Main Ave.) from BP (Business Park) to P (Public Use), a change requested by Macht Village Partners to allow school‑related uses on the site.
Aaron, a village planning staff member, said the parcel is a triangular site on West Main Avenue just west of Sand Acres Drive and that the Ashwaubenon Planning Commission recommended approval Dec. 3. “The request is from Macht Village Partners, to rezone the property from BP Business Park to P Public Use to allow for use of the property for school‑related activities,” Aaron said. The village received letters of support from the Ashwaubenon and West De Pere school districts, Aaron added.
A board member moved to approve the rezoning; the board voted in favor and the motion carried. No conditions or amendments were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The vote followed a public hearing at which no members of the public spoke for or against the rezoning. The applicant was present in the audience and board members said staff and the planning commission had addressed questions raised during review.
