The St. George City Council unanimously appointed Robert Myers as interim administrative services director during its Jan. 9 meeting.
Robert Myers addressed the council after the appointment, saying, "I'm super excited for the opportunity. Thank you, counsel, for giving me the opportunity. Looking forward to working with the great folks in administrative services." The council confirmed the appointment by voice vote after a motion by Councilmember Natalie Larson and a second from Councilmember Steve Kemp.
Council members praised Myers and noted his prior work in the department. The appointment is effective immediately; staff indicated the interim placement is to continue the department's current operations while the city proceeds with any further hiring or organizational steps needed.
