The Hollywood Park EDC reviewed three applications to fill board seats and voted to recommend reappointment of two incumbents and to forward an additional applicant to city council to fill a current vacancy.

The board discussed attendance history and community involvement. Members noted that one applicant had not attended recent meetings; others have participated in prior sessions. Two incumbents were the subject of a reappointment recommendation and the board voted to forward their names to city council for reappointment. Separately, the board voted to forward a third applicant to city council to fill the open vacancy; one member recorded opposition during that vote.

Board members noted that council has final appointment authority and may weigh attendance and other factors when making appointments. Staff said council would receive the board’s recommendations and supporting application materials.
