Board members reviewed plans for an upcoming Game Night at the Branch Connection, covering event logistics, swag bags and fundraising targets.
Jackie (staff member) said staff confirmed date, time and location and will finalize an agenda item for the event. Jennifer (staff) had asked about catering; staff said catering logistics were still being worked and would be followed up. Members discussed swag bags for attendees and whether the board or staff should design T-shirt artwork. Members agreed staff should provide design options for the board to review.
The board discussed decorations for different decades in photo-op corners of the gym—suggestions included 1950s, 1960s and 1970s themes and a disco backdrop. Jackie said the event will use three rooms for eating and will include a dedicated photographer/photo booth area. Board members suggested contacting prior vendors for photo booths and one member offered a vendor card.
On fundraising, Jackie said the board had a $5,000 line in the budget for gift/raffle items. The group discussed having five larger raffle baskets (each under $500) and smaller opportunity drawings with items valued at about $25–$35 each. Jackie said leftover funds could be used to assemble smaller prize packages for periodic drawings.
Other logistics discussed included separating swag-bag T-shirts by size at distribution, ordering several sizes, and confirming whether game-night volunteers or staff would finalize design choices. Jackie summarized that staff would present T-shirt design options and that staff would finalize catering and vendor pricing to present back to the board.
