The Henderson County Commissioners Court approved routine consent and administrative items including prior minutes, tax refunds, payroll distributions, a contract and payment of county bills.
The court approved the minutes of the Dec. 17, 2024 meeting on a motion by Commissioner Toole and a second by Commissioner Spivey. The court approved 26 refund checks presented by the Tax Assessor-Collector totaling $156,946.85; the presenter said most refunds resulted from duplicate payments by title companies or property owners.
Payroll disbursements for biweekly periods 25 and 26 were approved. The court also approved a contract with Shell Energy to provide electricity for the county elections facility and authorized the county judge to sign the contract.
On payment of bills, the county approved fiscal year 2024 bills in the amount of $638,448 as presented. The court also approved budget amendments described by staff as final cleanup related to road purchases and allocation of salvage income.
All of the above motions were approved by unanimous vote.
