Intervention program, IEC updates and EO reviews — Premier transition, portal issues and IEC education
Summary
The committee heard updates on the intervention program: Premier Health Group’s transition, increased IEC outreach and education, a planned increase in IEC meeting frequency, a pending portal for IEC materials, and an executive officer report that IEC reviews sent to the EO have increased and are transitioning back to program managers.
Shannon Johnson, Enforcement Division chief, and Loretta (Lori) Melby, the board’s executive officer, updated the committee on the intervention program, the IECs (intervention/executive committees) and education and review processes.
Johnson said Premier Health Group is the new intervention vendor and staff now hold monthly coordination meetings with Premier and seven other DCA boards. Johnson noted the board previously approved opening up to four IECs and asked the committee to consider increasing IEC meeting frequency from four to six times per year so participants could be seen more frequently without requiring a large recruitment drive for more IEC members.
