Commission approves replacement windows at 1124 South Monroe

The Green Bay Landmarks Commission on Oct. 15 approved a certificate of appropriateness to replace a pair of 1-over-1 windows at the rear of the house at 1124 South Monroe, finding the new units will match existing fenestration and are consistent with prior window replacements on the property.
Staff showed photographs of the rear elevation and said the windows are not prominently visible from public right-of-way; the recommendation was to approve. The staff packet noted the new windows were intended to match an upstairs pair and that manufacturing data for the new windows had not been received in time for the presentation. Commissioners approved the replacement with a motion and second; no conditions beyond the standard COA review were recorded.
Staff also noted that numerous routine COA approvals have been processed administratively for items like roofing and signs since the commission last met in July.
