Kristen Dance, public art program staff, and Trenton (public art staff) led the presentation and described private and city projects completed since October 2024 and work in progress. Dance said the municipal zoning code (Title 19.52) requires developers under certain conditions to contribute a portion of project valuation toward public art; the commission heard that projects approved under the 2020 public art master plan are now beginning to appear at the higher contribution level adopted in that plan. “It’s my favorite presentation to give annually,” Dance said.
