Regulatory Reform Committee adopts minutes and reports two bills out with recommendation

The Michigan House Regulatory Reform Committee on May 20 adopted the minutes from its previous meeting and reported two bills out of committee with recommendation.

Committee members first adopted the previous meeting’s minutes after Representative Fairbairn moved to adopt them; the clerk recorded the action and the chair declared it ordered.

The committee then took recorded action on two bills. Representative Hoadley moved to report House Bill 4711 with recommendation; the clerk completed the roll call and announced the tally, after which the chair declared the motion prevailed. Later, Representative Liberati moved to report House Bill 4825 with recommendation; the clerk again took the roll and announced the tally before the chair declared that motion prevailed as well. The clerk’s roll-call announcements were entered into the committee record.

No further debate on those two bills was recorded during the meeting. The committee proceeded with the rest of its agenda following the votes, including hearings and testimony on additional bills.
