The conditions also require submission of the childcare license upon request, automatic nullification if the daycare ceases operation for more than a year or the license is revoked, and a maximum of 12 children. A plan for record-keeping, staff training and housekeeping was required under the original approval and remains a condition.
Staff recommended approval for another two years, to be reviewed again by staff on Oct. 7, 2027. Board members discussed whether the boilerplate conditions are updated for current practice; staff said most are standard for home daycares but some are tailored to specific facilities. Staff explained it is auditing past approvals following staffing changes and the death of a former staff member to catch up on outstanding reviews.
The board moved and approved renewal 19X14U with the prior conditions and set the next staff review date for Oct. 7, 2027. Roll-call votes were recorded as: Mulvaney — yes; Lightman — yes; Newbill — yes; Evonja Rykov — yes.
