Commissioners asked staff to obtain quotes that include the records center and planning commission doors and to return with a precise figure. Taylor and staff also said the upgrades would reduce overtime and other costs by improving secure public access processes, and that some minor signage and policy changes would be needed.
No appropriation vote was taken at the meeting; staff were directed to obtain quotes and to coordinate a broader operational meeting that includes elected officials with offices housed in the county building to determine practical entry procedures.
