Commissioners table request to add minimum charges to county paratransit contract; ask for more data and prosecutor review

Commissioners asked for more information before approving any change. They requested: clear side-by-side comparisons of how the proposed minimums would alter costs for recent trips, an analysis of how the change would affect riders and the program's reach, and confirmation from the prosecutor's office that the amendment would not undermine the competitive-bid process or disadvantage other bidders. Commissioners noted some providers already bid with higher minimums and said raising the minimum could reclassify the awarding metrics.
County staff agreed to return with the full bid packet, trip-level cost comparisons and input from the prosecuting attorney. The board tabled the amendment for consideration at a future meeting.
