The West Consolidated Zoning Board on Wednesday recessed its open meeting to convene a 20-minute executive session to discuss matters concerning nonelected personnel, citing K.S.A. 75-4319(b)(1).
Commissioner Hanslick moved that the board recess the open meeting and convene in executive session at 12:40 p.m. for a total of 20 minutes “to discuss matters pertaining to the board's nonelected personnel and to protect the privacy of the employee,” and to reconvene in the same room at 1:00 p.m. Commissioner Allen Brand seconded the motion; Chief Counsel was scheduled to attend the discussion.
The board approved the motion on a roll-call vote, with Commissioners Fast, Myers, Brewer, Hanslick, Ashcraft, Allen Brand and Chairman Kelly voting in favor and no votes against. The board recessed for the executive session and returned to open session at 1:00 p.m. with no action taken.
After reconvening, the chair noted there were no further items on the agenda and the meeting was adjourned.
