Committee approves highway claims; members note $11,900 salt-treatment purchase and progress on Gorman and Sherrill projects

Staff said Portland cement stabilization (12 inches) will be used with a 4-inch asphalt overlay, and the contractor is on schedule to have the roadway open before winter. Sherrill Road was reported near completion with initial striping applied and final striping expected soon; seeding and erosion-control blankets were placed.

DuPont-area construction: staff said pre- and post-construction inventories were taken and that a bond/letter of credit is in place to require restoration if construction damage occurs. Staff noted monitoring timelines and inspection steps before final bond release.
