Council adopts ordinance to vacate Nevin Circle for Nevin Estates replat

On third and final reading the Riverton City Council adopted Ordinance 25-0008 to vacate the public right-of-way platted as Nevin Circle in the Nevin Estates addition to allow the family to replat the parcel.
The Community Development Department presented a map and noted the ordinance was updated to preserve roughly a 20-foot swath bordering East Monroe Avenue for future utilities and development. The city placed that reserve on the ordinance at staff recommendation and included the provision in the final text.
Council voted by roll call; all members present voted in favor. The ordinance vacates Nevin Circle as described in the ordinance and clears the way for the replat process.
Community development staff said the action was the third and final reading required under state statute for right-of-way vacations and that the reserved corridor will be maintained for city utility access.
