Resident raises noise and speeding concerns during Adams County public comment
Summary

During the public-comment period on Sept. 23, resident Laura Burton of unincorporated Adams County described ongoing neighborhood problems, including loud music beginning as early as 6:30 a.m. and continuing into the night, and vehicles speeding on East 80th Avenue and City View Drive.
Burton said neighbors have called police but that the neighborhood lacks a local sound ordinance; she asked the board for guidance. Alicia Reese, a deputy county manager in attendance, stood to offer assistance and county staff committed to follow up.
Also during public comment, Annette Budd, a representative from Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s office, introduced herself, provided contact information and offered district office support. County staff asked to connect Budd with the county’s government-affairs staff to coordinate assistance.
County leaders thanked the speakers and directed staff to follow up with the resident and the congressional office.
