The Evanston City Council approved Resolution 25-49 authorizing a cooperative agreement with the Wyoming Department of Transportation to begin design and environmental clearances for rehabilitation of the Bear River Bridge on Bear River Drive.
Mark Harris read the resolution title and staff described the agreement as a design-phase action that would allow YDOT to perform environmental reviews and prepare the project for bid when nearby work is scheduled. Council members remarked on the bridge’s condition, with one councilor noting the structure had a perceptible "clunk" and give when crossing.
The resolution passed on a voice vote. Staff said the agreement initiates design work; funding and construction scheduling will follow YDOT processes and project programming.
