Parks staff told the advisory board the City Commission approved funding earlier in the year to supply dog-waste bag stations at parks, and the department will begin installing the stations throughout the park system.

A board member asked about the timing and staff confirmed the funding was approved in April and that the department has budgeted to install bag-station units at parks as part of its implementation schedule.

Staff said the bag stations will be part of the department’s facilities work and that installation will proceed in the near term as procurement and scheduling allow.
