At its Sept. 2 meeting the Fort Atkinson City Council adopted the consent agenda (items 4A through 4E), approved verified claims presented by the director of finance, and voted to convene a closed session to discuss competitive or bargaining matters related to Fire/EMS contracts.
The consent agenda was approved by a motion and voice vote with no items removed for separate consideration. Later in the meeting the council approved verified claims by roll call. Council members Huckabee, Musco, Schultz and President Jaekel recorded aye votes and the motion carried.
Toward the end of the meeting the council voted to convene a closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(e) for competitive or bargaining reasons to discuss the city’s Fire/EMS contracts with town partners and the Fire/EMS union contract. The motion to enter closed session carried on a voice vote.
