The committee chair and staff told members the committee will operate paperless this year and that meeting materials will be posted to a shared OneDrive folder, with an index showing the current meeting, administrative rules and past meetings.
A staff member identified as Tracy explained how members can navigate the OneDrive: the current meeting content will appear first, administrative rules and Legislative Services Office analyses will appear in a separate folder, and a single “scrolling agenda” option will contain the full meeting packet. Tracy told members that IT staff were available after the meeting to assist with access and urged members to bring laptops or tablets to committee sessions.
The chair reminded members not to remove the committee’s orange folders from the room but to take any papers inside if they wish to keep them. The chair also named Representatives Pahanka and Gannon as volunteer proofreaders and said the committee will try to keep meetings short; he added that members should turn on microphones for roll call votes so votes are recorded correctly. The chair said the schedule for reviewing administrative rules had not been set.
A student visiting the committee introduced herself during the meeting. No formal committee vote was taken on these administrative procedures; the remarks served as operational guidance for the committee’s sessions.
