Lauren Smizer, regulatory and legislative affairs bureau chief at the Division of Financial Management, told the panel the committee had previously rejected the pending change that had struck the sentence, which meant the sentence remained in the final rule and therefore the final rule itself needed rejection. "Now, I think the next motion needs to be the rejection of the final rule, of 17.0101.305.01. A," Smizer said.
Senator Foreman moved to reject the final rule; Senator Lakey seconded. The committee approved the motion by voice vote. The chair announced, "Ayes have it. And final rule 17Dash0101Dot305Dot01DotA has been rejected." The committee resumed other agenda items after the vote.
