The council unanimously approved two ordinances amending stormwater rules—Ordinance 2025015 (prohibitions on certain discharges) and Ordinance 2025016 (stormwater management design criteria). Both measures were passed under suspension of the rules and adopted by roll call votes of seven in favor and zero opposed.
Council also authorized the administration to advertise for bids on several public-works items: Resolution 202517 to advertise for ready-mix concrete for the service department; Resolution 202518 to advertise for paint striping of streets for 2025–26; and Resolution 202519 to advertise for street sweeping services for 2025–26. Each resolution was approved by unanimous roll-call votes.
On a separate item, Council adopted Ordinance 202520 to contract with Utility Associates, Inc., for purchase of body-worn cameras, in-car video systems and related software and appurtenances “without public bidding” under an available state negotiated contract and because the vendor’s offered price was below…
