Council member announces solid-waste subcommittee; NDOT liaison to Metro Waste introduces replacement

Council member Allen announced the formation of a solid-waste subcommittee within the Transportation & Infrastructure Committee and invited council members and guest members from other committees to participate.
"We have set up a solid waste subcommittee ... we will maybe meet once a month, and then we will be reporting out, working with Matt who's moving over to waste services, on the second Tuesday of the month," Council member Allen said. She asked interested council members to contact her or special counsel Darby.
Matt Purvis, the committee’s long-serving NDOT council liaison, told the committee he will transition to Metro Waste as a council liaison next week and introduced his replacement, Chris Mitchell. "As of next week, I'm officially leaving NDOT as council liaison and joining Metro Waste as a council liaison. ... My replacement at NDOT has already arrived, and he's here with me tonight. It's Chris Mitchell," Purvis said. Purvis added that Mitchell is in his second week on the job.
The committee chair thanked Purvis for his service and welcomed Mitchell.
