DFM submits $920,000 in technical corrections to governor's revised budget

A Department of Finance and Management representative told the Joint Finance and Appropriations Committee on Monday that the governor submitted roughly $920,000 in technical corrections to his revised budget.
The representative, identified in committee only as Ms. Wolf, said Friday's memo from DFM outlined four corrections. "The total revision amount was about 920,000," Ms. Wolf said. She identified four areas: a SwiCap billing for the Legislative Services Office ($45,000) that had been assigned to the wrong fund; a correction to the Idaho Digital Learning Academy (IDLA) calculation that accounted for $870,000; a small adjustment at the Department of Health and Welfare for employees below a new pay grade ($5,000); and a bookkeeping correction to an endowment fund adjustment for Idaho State University that had a $0 impact.
Ms. Wolf said the IDLA change resulted from recently enacted code and that the correction aligns the calculation "with the recommendation of public schools" so IDLA would be included in CEC calculations. She added the revisions are the kinds of adjustments agencies and DFM sometimes discover after the original submission.
Committee members asked no follow-up questions. The presentation concluded and committee business moved on to other items on the day's agenda.
