Assistant Superintendent Dr. Shameka Long Lane told the Petersburg City School Board on Wednesday that the human resources office is continuing a multi-month effort to clean personnel and position-control data, and to support teacher recruitment and licensure.
Dr. Long Lane said the district pulled intent forms from February and had 726 responses indicating 656 employees intended to return. For the 2024-25 year HR counted 93 employees who left the division (52 resignations, 13 retirements, two deceased, one military leave, 25 other).
