The Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee accepted standard federal funding-restrictions language for the Department of Health and Welfare’s other-program budget (indirect support services and licensing and certification). Alex Williamson, budget and policy analyst with Legislative Services, said the language is a standard correction to material the committee considered earlier and that there is no substantive change to the original bill.
Representative Price asked for unanimous consent to accept the language as shown on the screen. With no objection, the committee accepted the language and will forward it with a due-pass recommendation.
Williamson told members the omission was an oversight in the packet and that the language mirrors standard federal restrictions included elsewhere in the department’s bills.
