DFM submits $920,000 in technical corrections to governor’s revised budget

The Department of Finance and Management told the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee on Jan. 13 that it submitted four technical corrections to the governor’s revised budget, totaling about $920,000.
The memo was presented by Ms. Wolf of DFM. "The total revision amount was about 920,000," she told the committee, and said the submissions reflect corrections discovered after the governor’s initial recommendation.
The largest correction — about $870,000 — related to the Idaho Digital Learning Academy. Ms. Wolf said new code enacted last session changed how the academy’s calculation should be handled and the administration adjusted the budget to align with the public schools’ recommendation so the Idaho Digital Learning Academy would not be left out of the CEC calculation. Another correction moved $45,000 of SWiCap billing for the Legislative Services Office into the correct general fund. A $5,000 change corrected pay‑grade calculations for two Department of Health and Welfare employees who would have fallen below a new pay grade. One other correction affected the Idaho State University endowment fund adjustment and had no dollar impact.
Committee members did not object and no formal vote was recorded on the memo during the presentation. Ms. Wolf said staff are available to answer follow‑up questions as the committee works through division hearings.
The committee proceeded to the next agenda items, which included technical edits to a separate CEC recommendation letter and the Department of Health and Welfare budget overview and reorganization request.
