Tennessee House approves IEP-notice bill after debate over sending psychological evaluations to parents

The Tennessee House on Thursday passed House Bill 8 61, which codifies existing State Board of Education rules requiring local education agencies to give parents at least 10 days’ notice before an individualized education plan (IEP) meeting, and to provide a copy of the draft IEP at least 48 hours before the scheduled meeting.
