The House Calendar and Rules Committee met on a Friday in March and, by voice votes, moved a large number of House bills and two joint resolutions to upcoming floor calendars or held them for more consideration.
The committee placed the bulk of the measures on either Monday’s consent calendar, Monday’s regular calendar or Thursday’s regular calendar. Where recorded in the transcript, motions carried on a voice vote with no members recorded as opposed.
The meeting was largely procedural: the clerk called the roll, the chair made or recognized motions to place bills on calendars, members seconded motions, and the question was frequently called and decided by voice. Two exceptions to routine placement were recorded: House Bill 1418 was rolled to the heel of the calendar at the request of Chairman Boyd, and House Bill 0548 was held for one week at the request of a committee member who said the sponsor would wait for the Senate to act and then set a conforming amendment; the member said, "I'm gonna wait for the senate to pass and then I'll set student conform. So we'll give them a little time." House Bill 0550 was initially rolled but later placed on Monday’s consent calendar.

No policy debates, bill text discussions, or floor amendments were taken up during this meeting’s recorded segment. The committee adjourned after taking up the remaining calendar actions.
