A Senate committee voted to send RS32466 to print. The request, presented by Sen. Dan Foreman, concerns the interface between short-term rental owners and managers and local government.
Foreman, identified himself as the sponsor and asked the committee to print RS32466 so it could be formally introduced in his committee. Sen. Laney moved to print the request; Sen. Keiser seconded. During vocal roll-call discussion Sen. Melissa Wintrow said she would "reluctantly vote no" because she had received stakeholder complaints about the request. Committee leadership recorded the nay, but the motion carried and RS32466 will be printed and referred to Chairman Foreman’s committee for further consideration.
The printed request will determine whether a bill is formally introduced and assigned to the Commerce Committee for hearings and markup.
