Joshua Whitworth, the governor’s nominee to the Idaho Public Employee Retirement System (PERSI) board, appeared Tuesday before the Idaho Senate Commerce Committee for a confirmation hearing and described his background in business, ranching and state education leadership.
Whitworth told the committee he is “a fourth generation Idaho from Mackey, Idaho” and said he currently serves as executive director for the State Board of Education. He said he has worked in small business, health IT and government and previously served as executive director of the state Republican Party.
