Corral City legislative committee agrees on tracking process, flags several state bills to watch

The Corral City Legislative Committee reviewed its legislative bill tracker, agreed how the committee will handle bills submitted by members of the public and identified a list of state measures it will watch in the 2025 legislative session.

The committee unanimously approved the Jan. 30, 2025, meeting minutes by voice vote after Councilor Charlene moved to approve and Councilor Paul Schafer seconded. No roll-call tally was recorded in the meeting transcript.

Committee members then turned to the tracker maintained by Gabe Shepherd. "I sent out an updated list yesterday, or I sent it to Alex. Alex sent it out," Shepherd said, and asked for feedback on both the format and the content of the tracker. Shepherd said he had separated bills submitted as public comment so the committee could consider them without automatically adding them to the primary tracking list.
