Senator Tammy Nichols (District 10) asked the committee to print RS 32561, a request-sheet (RS) that would clean up an outdated section of code that established a weather‑modification taxing district in the 1970s.
Nichols told the committee that the statute appears to have been used only in Oneida County and that no taxes have been levied under the district since the 1970s. She said she checked with the state taxing commission and county commissioners and found no records of recent use. The committee voted to print RS 32561 so the language can be formally prepared for legislative consideration.
A motion to print the RS was made by Senator Foreman and seconded by Senator Keiser; the committee approved the request by voice vote.
