Board authorizes district officials to sign federal 'general assurances' ahead of grant deadline

The presenter said, “we were ready to bring it forward because this has to be loaded up in the… grama management system… by June 1. If we are late, we risk the potential of not receiving any of those funds.”
The board authorized Sue and Mike (identified in the meeting as the district officials who sign the general assurances) to sign the pages and upload the final document so the district can meet the grant portal deadline. The motion to permit signature and upload was made and seconded and recorded as approved on voice vote.
The presenter said staff planned to upload the signed documents the following day to ensure compliance with federal grant submission timing.
