Coral City legislative committee to lean on League priorities, tracks housing and transport bills ahead of 2025 session

The Coral City Legislative Committee met and agreed to focus its 2025 lobbying and letter-writing on priorities advanced by the League of Oregon Cities while monitoring a handful of state bills that committee members said could directly affect Corvallis.
The committee approved its minutes from Aug. 13, 2024, by unanimous consent, set a tentative next meeting for Feb. 13 at 4 p.m., and asked staff and the chair’s designee to prepare tracking materials for future packets.
Committee members said they will use the League’s priority list as a starting point and add one or two city-specific issues as needed. Councilor Gabe (former committee chair) briefed members on housing proposals he heard at a recent Oregon Housing Alliance meeting and urged the committee to watch several bills now moving in Salem.
