The Arlington County Board on Oct. 21 approved a slate of appointments to advisory bodies and commissions and unanimously confirmed a permanent executive director for the county’s Housing Choice Voucher Program.
During a single motion the board read and approved appointments and reappointments for multiple bodies including the Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth, and Families; Commission on Aging; Community Criminal Justice Board; Crystal and Pentagon Cities Council; Disability Advisory Commission; Historical Affairs and Landmark Review Board; Industrial Development Authority; Local Board of Building Code Appeals; and the Tenant-Landlord Commission. The chair read the full list before the board approved the slate without need for a second; the vote was 5-0.
In a separate, formally moved item the board unanimously approved the appointment of Caleb Kopchik as permanent executive director for the Housing Choice Voucher program. The motion carried 5-0.
