Lakey said the idea grew from discussions with the DoD state liaison and would focus initially on locations such as Mountain Home and other parts of North Idaho.
Senator Foreman moved to send RS 32555 to print; Senator Ricks seconded. The committee approved the motion by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded on the record.
RS 32568: Commemorative plate for USS Idaho
Senator Lakey presented RS 32568 on behalf of a request from Chairman O'Connorowitz. The measure would create a specialty commemorative license plate for the commissioning of the submarine USS Idaho, with plates available for purchase for a fee and the plate made available only through July 1, 2030. Lakey asked that the RS be printed so it could be routed to the Senate Transportation Committee.
Senator Ricks moved that RS 32568 be sent to print; a senator listed in the record as Ruckde seconded. The committee approved the motion by voice vote.
Gubernatorial reappointment: Janie Dressen
