Later in the meeting the committee voted to send RS31856, a legislators’ statement on public health district authority, to print for further consideration.
The motions were moved and seconded on the committee floor and the chair called for voice votes. No roll-call tallies were recorded in the transcript for these items; the chair announced the actions as approved or sent to print. The committee did not take final confirmation votes on the three gubernatorial appointees introduced during the session; the chair said those confirmations will be taken up at the committee’s meeting the following day.
The meeting also included appearances and introductions of three nominees: B. J. Stinger for reappointment to the Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Trevor Sparrow for the newly created Idaho Health and Social Services Ombudsman office, and Beth Elroy for reappointment to the Idaho Board of Environmental Quality.
