Committee sends bar-dues RS to print; proposal would raise Idaho State Bar fees after 2011 freeze

Senator Foreman moved that the committee send RS 32049 to print; the motion was seconded (record shows a second by Senator Lenny) and carried by voice vote. No roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
Senator Ricks asked whether the proposal involved a bar tab; Lakey responded with a light-hearted clarification that the measure concerns membership fees, not a tab at a drinking establishment. No fiscal note or implementation cost to state general funds was presented during the hearing; Lakey said the bar does not use general funds.
