"2025 will be used to build out the system," Aylers said, and state agencies would get first use because the state is funding development.
On the interim newspaper option, Aylers said local governments may print an abbreviated notice in a newspaper so long as the printed notice includes a link to the full notice posted on the official county or government website. When asked whether publication in the paper remained mandatory or permissive, a committee member clarified that the statute in the draft leaves print publication as permissive (a "may").
A motion to introduce RS 32,235 was made and the committee approved introduction by voice vote. The transcript records no final hearing date or further committee action on the RS.
