University of Idaho President C. Scott Green told Idaho’s Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee that the university’s finances have strengthened since a multi-year correction but that a number of structural and accounting items continue to affect reserve ratios.
Kevin Campbell, the Legislative Services Office analyst, presented the University of Idaho's FY2025 budget overview. He said the university has about 12,286 students, a base general-fund appropriation of roughly $196.3 million and a five-year history of appropriations and reappropriated tuition authority. Campbell also summarized several dedicated endowment and timber/mineral funds tied to the land-grant legacy.
