Culpeper schools showcase student programs; field hockey player named all-state

Floyd T. Bins School principal presented a video overview of school activities including the student advisory board’s public-service announcements, a career-cafe series that brings community professionals to speak with students during lunch, career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities, performing-arts productions and other student enrichment opportunities. The principal said career-cafe sessions are scheduled three times during lunch to serve different lunch shifts and typically draw 15–25 students per session.
In student recognition, Culpeper High field-hockey coach Kathy Uribe honored senior defender Kendall Healy, who was named to the Virginia High School League Class 3 All-State team for defense. Uribe detailed Healy’s contributions on the field this season, including defensive leadership and a high number of turnovers defended in postseason play.
Board members thanked school staff for community outreach and extracurricular programming. The program reports and recognition were informational and celebratory; no board action followed.
