The sheriff said the county was housing more females than usual and that other counties had been unable or unwilling to take some female inmates.
Overtime figures reported were 30.75 hours for dispatch and 37.75 hours for deputies. The sheriff said three new dispatch hires are expected to start next week but that they are completing psychological testing, which has been difficult to schedule since a local provider, Dr. Horner, stopped performing those tests.
The court accepted the sheriff’s report by motion and voice vote. No formal disciplinary or policy action was taken during the meeting; commissioners did not move to alter staffing levels at that time.
